Ohio State research looks at students’ tech needs
A new report based on research from Ohio State shows that approximately 16% to 19% of college students lack the technology necessary to fully participate in online learning. The report, which was recently published by the Midwestern Higher Education Compact, provides a timely resource for evaluating and improving access to the technologies needed for online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

Mike Gable wins Office of University Registrar award
Senior Assistant Registrar for Room and Class Scheduling Mike Gable won the 2020 Edith D. Cockins Award for his work in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. The annual award, which is named after the university's first registrar, goes to an employee in the Office of the University Registrar who demonstrates a commitment to quality, efficiency and innovation in simplifying processes and delivering a better experience for Ohio State students, faculty and staff.
Kevin Cullen named assistant vice provost and director of Military and Veterans Services at Ohio State
The Office of Student Academic Success at Ohio State is pleased to announce that experienced academic and military leader retired Col. Kevin Cullen will be the new assistant vice provost and director of Military and Veterans Services. Cullen previously led the Air Force ROTC program and Ohio State and currently teaches in the John Glenn College of Public Affairs.
Adrienne Bricker named university registrar at Ohio State
The Office of Student Academic Success is pleased to announce that Adrienne Bricker will be the new university registrar at The Ohio State University starting in early May. Bricker comes to Ohio State from the University of Minnesota, where she served as the director of the Office of the Registrar.
Ohio State named First-gen Forward Institution
The Ohio State University has been named a First-gen Forward Institution by the Center for First-generation Student Success. The designation recognizes the university for demonstrating a commitment to improving experiences and advancing outcomes of students who are the first in their families to go to college.
