Transition and Academic Growth
Supporting students as they transition to the Columbus campus, choose academic programs and navigate their academic journeys.
A part of the Office of Student Academic Success at The Ohio State University, the Transition and Academic Growth team was created in 2019 and includes the Academic Advising, First Year Experience and University Exploration offices; the Buckeyes First, Complete Ohio State and SpringForward programs; and the student success platform OnCourse.
Collectively, TAG helps students meet three goals: transition smoothly to college, progress in a program of study and graduate in a timely manner. Our programs guide students as they transition to college, assist them in clarifying academic goals and exploring majors, and support them throughout their Ohio State experience.
TAG supports the university and OSAS strategic plans and the university’s role in the University Innovation Alliance by enabling students to succeed at Ohio State.
TAG provides academic support and evidence-based resources to empower undergraduate students to develop and realize their full potential for excellence.
TAG will be a valued partner for student success that consistently provides innovative programs, services and resources for students, faculty and staff.
